Established in 2005, Gung Ho is a creative communications agency with a focus on fashion, sport and lifestyle clients such as Speedo, New Balance, ellesse and CAT footwear. Gung Ho worked closely with Studio.rh to redefine their brand positioning and develop a new visual identity and website.

GH identified that their existing branding had grown stale and felt very static. They wanted a new brand identity to refresh their overall image and generate a fresh energy from within the brand, representing their collective personality and collaborative working style, underlined by their mantra of ‘work together’.

An adaptive identity system was developed that could evolve with the current zeitgeist to remain relevant, whilst retaining a strong recognisable identity and consistent persona. This was achieved through a variable gradient colour system, utilising an individual 2 colour palette to sub-brand their 3 divisions of Comms, talent management agency Represents and their in-house design offering Studio. 

The new logo-mark evolves their original 2 ring logo, which represents their collaborative ethos and incorporates a confident fresh tone of voice. Each logo has a motion version that is constantly moving, manifesting their attitude of ‘never standing still’. These features are also reflected in the collective personality of GH’s team culture, which is now featured throughout the identity in a ‘people-first’ outlook.

The new identity and dynamic logo succeed in exposing the curiously creative personality of Gung Ho, manifesting their dedication to their craft from the inside out. The branding has been utilised to transform their offices, communications, website and pitch decks that now radiate a professional quality and embrace an editorial design aesthetic.
